Expressionism is a key element in my paintings. It represents how snow, in it's many forms, blankets the branches of winterberry bushes. "A Heavy Snow" for example, explores how the snow virtually obscues the red berries and branches. "An Early Snowfall" suggests, through it's warm tones and scattered red strokes, that a brief but heavy snowfall has arrived way too early. "A Snowy Afternoon" and "Snow Covered Branches" depict how clumps of snow and glimpses of early morning sunlight, can create a captivating composition.
